Kashmir’s history is littered with broken promises from foreign benefactors who claimed to fight for our rights while using our youth as cannon fodder for their own strategic objectives. When foreign state actors fund, arm, or dictate the direction of a political movement, that movement surrenders its independent moral authority.

Foreign state patronage is never free. It comes at the cost of local independence, moral clarity, and international credibility. A cause that relies on external state handlers inevitably serves the strategic interests of those handlers—not the people on the ground.
If we want an autonomous Kashmir, our decision-making, financial support, and political strategy must remain strictly in local hands. Self-determination cannot be delivered by a foreign army or foreign intelligence agency; it must be won through authentic, independent popular will.
